The new installation of Jenn E. Norton will be exhibited at Le Laboratoire d'Art upon the completion of her month long residency. With "21st Century Fox Sisters", Norton has built an interactive space where the Fox sisters, famous mediums of the 19th Century, are re-imagined as producers and directors of a multi-media spectacle. By imposing the past upon the present with women who lend their bodies to spirits to hold a captive audience. Using pre-cinema technologies used in phantasmagoric displays of the Victorian era with contemporary video, Norton draws parallels between covert feminism of the past and today.
